Hi everyone! I am Moiz, and I am here to learn and teach what I have learned so far. I am passionate about blockchain and Web3 because I am most interested in that, and another reason is sensed through my development in Web3 is most developers or users avoid Web3 they don't embrace this technology, and in some ways, they are right to do so because there are a lot of scammers in this field, so trust won't come here easily. And as a blockchain developer, I must do my part and let people experience its full potential.
Welcome 🎉
thank you @aquascript-team what are you working on.
Nice design on aquascript mate. I am working on a platform called txshield.xyz its an SAAS Platform that detects smart contract for vulnarabilities.
Wow 🎉, I will check this
Time to draw a line!
i love this! i don't know much about it, but i am curious now!
What's your experience in web3?
I have been working on a saas web app that is highly related to internal working of smart contra ts on evm chains and sol as well.
I have also worked on nft logic making and all that.
Well i have not work with any organization/company but i have a profound knpwledge about smart contracts.
Hello and welcome
👋 Hey everyone! I'm Masoom, a tech enthusiast with a background in planetary science 🪐 and a passion for data, code, and cosmic exploration. I recently set up Git and VS Code on my Windows 11 machine and started writing about workflow setups for science devs.
I’m here to share, learn, and connect with fellow developers—especially those working at the intersection of space, data, and open-source! 🚀
A fun fact about me: I once tried simulating Martian weather patterns using Python, and the code crashed because I forgot Mars has no Wi-Fi. 😉
Looking forward to reading your stories and helping out where I can!
And here's a simple reply you can post to someone else's comment:
👋 Welcome aboard! Loved hearing about your journey. What kind of projects are you working on these days?
I mean simulating martian weather patterns - now that is wild! I'm not a science dev but it is fascinating to me - any beginner projects from that aspect you could recommend to me? Would be cool to get my feet wet, without drowning 😅
hi
Hello World! I am Sean, I just came across Forem by a Google search. I am currently learning React, so I am on a quest for help, oh yea, I am using Ai for help as well. I am glad to have found this site.
Hey Sean, welcome! 🙌 I’m also working with React. Happy to connect and swap learning tips along the way.
Welcome
Same - if you want some tips I've found helpful along the way (especially prompting AI for help) or access to some cheat sheets I've created, get at me bro 😜
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m Roshan, here to learn and share about Python, cloud tech, and a bit of AI/ML. Fun fact: I love building small projects to practice what I learn, what’s everyone working on right now?
Great to have you here Roshan, I am Moiz, and i am working on a platfrom that is solo build by me and its for the web3 community. its called TxShield a platform for making your transactions scanned for scams plus simulates the transaction as well so user will know what's going to happen if they sign in their tranaction. it's analyze smart contract for scams like Honeypot & Phishing etc. I have recently launched a platform officially at txshield.xyz
hey roshan! i am in the same space my friend...just finished my live portfolio and have 345870 other projects going - some are useful, some are ridiculous, but i'm having fun 🤭
Welcome
Hey Roshan! I’m diving into Python projects too, mostly around data analysis and automation. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with small AI/ML models for fun. What’s your latest project?
How are you Roshan. Hope you are good. I am working on projects under AI. We could collaborate and learn more.
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm excited to join this community and connect with fellow tech enthusiasts. I'm here to learn, share knowledge, and contribute wherever I can. Looking forward to some great discussions!
Hello!
Welcome 🎉
Welcome Moony
Hey everyone! I'm Sean (chonito7919 on GitHub), and I'm that guy who went from wiring houses to debugging code - turns out both involve a lot of troubleshooting and the occasional existential crisis.
My weird journey: Master Electrician → Entrepreneur → Aspiring Open Source Developer. Currently learning to code in public because apparently I enjoy the extra pressure and free feedback (constructive roasting welcome).
What I'm building:
Practical dev tools that actually fit on one page (revolutionary, I know)
A Gambling Tax Calculator in C++
Cheat sheets for tmux and Vim that you can actually print
Something called getRich (name pending Monday mood swings)
Current mission: Contributing to open source while documenting the messy, real journey from electrical work to software development. If you ever need someone who can both wire your house AND refactor your README, I'm your oddly specific specialist.
Also training for bikepacking next year, so if you see posts about tangled bike/laptop cables, that'll be me living my best chaotic life.
Looking forward to connecting with this community and learning from all of you! 🚀
Hey Sean, I was a Plumber for 20 years before I got heavy into technology. I started back in the days of using an 8086 PC. Using a software called Dataflex and also used dBaseIII. Being able to program a machine to do what you wanted fascinated me, although I didn;t care much for computers when I was in high school. No formal schooling for programming, mostly self-taught. I did take a C++ class at a college but it was way over my head at the time. Hopefully you'll be able to accomplish something in your tech efforts.
Hey Steve!
That's awesome - another trades-to-tech journey! 20 years as a plumber gives you some serious problem-solving chops that definitely translate well to programming. I love that you started with an 8086 and Dataflex - that's going way back to when you really had to understand the machine to make it work.
It's interesting how technology can catch us at different points in life. You discovered that fascination with programming later on, while I was actually really into computers and C++ during my teenage years but couldn't pursue it - this was around 2003-2006 when the tech industry was brutal about requiring college degrees. If you didn't have that paper, you basically couldn't get your foot in the door, no matter how much you knew, so I ended up in the trades.
That "fascination with making a machine do what you want" never really goes away once it hits, does it? I think having that hands-on trades background actually gives us a unique perspective on software - we're used to building and fixing real things, so we appreciate when code actually works and solves genuine problems.
Don't sell yourself short on that C++ class being "over your head" - C++ is genuinely tough, and the timing of when we encounter these concepts matters a lot.
Thanks for sharing your journey and the encouragement! It's really motivating to hear from someone who made a similar transition, even if we came at it from different angles.
Hope your tech journey has been rewarding - would love to hear what you ended up focusing on after those early Dataflex days!
Just wondering if our messages are now private or not. If not would like to share more detail, if possible off line.
I don't see anyway to private message on dev.to. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn

Excited to connect with you all and learn together!
Welcome
Hello Forum. I have been around awhile. The first language I learned was Fortran. For those wondering why I left off the version number, IBM Research was still developing the language. After a built a couple S100 systems for IBM, I met someone who was on the IBM PC team before it was released. When Microsoft was still developing Visual Studio and C#, I was a beta tester and over 20 years latter, I am still finding bugs.
Hi everyone! I'm Madie and I'm working on a fullstack cert on coursera plus applying to jobs. If anyone has any advice for entry level software engineers / web devs, I'd greatly appreciate them!
Hi Madie! I would recommend YurisCodingClub. Although it's archived now, there's a lot of good advice in the repo! Also check out the progressive web accessibility series by GDG Vienna. All previous sessions are recorded on Accessibility First.
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for these resources. I'll check them out!

Looking forward to collaborating with you! :)
"Hello, Hi, Welcome!"
This is what I say when joining meetings or when people join mine lol. My name is Rob and I'm here to glean knowledge and learn from others. I have 20+ years experience in business and automation system implementations and integrations in the US, Canada and Australia. I've always wanted to learn how to code so here I am! I'm currently enrolled in Meta's Front-End Developer Professional Certificate course on Coursera.
Hi Rob, welcome! It's inspiring to see someone with your depth of experience in business and automation making the leap into code.
As an informatics student myself, I'm always fascinated by how different professional backgrounds apply to software development. I'm really curious, -how are you finding the transition to front-end coding? I imagine your experience with system logic gives you a unique perspective.
Great to have you in the community!
Thank you for the kind words. I'm still early in my journey, but so far I'm having a blast with it! I've been proficient with sql, mainy via sql server and postgres, for several years now and really fell in love with it. The thought of being able to create applications to help people and enrich their lives is very compelling. I love helping people. Whether through business applications or something more personal like a journaling application, doesn't matter.
Hello fellow DEV's. I
m Marshall Goodman. As an AI analyst, my role is to take your goals, your language, and your mental models - and refine them into prompts that bring clarity, precision, and usable results. I don
t sell AI hype. I help people think clearly with the help of AI, crafting questions that lead to better answers. Whatever your need, and within my experience, I will help you refine, polish, and produce the results you want. One of my development projects is called Sentinel.AI and it is a prompt monitor running as a Chrome extension that protects your prompt or deck. It monitors for prompt injection attacks, credential leaks, and risky prompts in AI chat interfaces like ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms. It is freely available on the Chrome Web Store and my website, StrategicPromptArchitect.ca.
Let's chat!
👋 Hi everyone! I’m Swizel, a frontend developer with a background in full-stack work. I’ve been diving deeper into React, Vue, and modern tooling lately, and I joined dev.to to both learn from the community and share what I’ve picked up along the way. Outside of coding, I’m into gaming 🎮. Always happy to connect with fellow devs!
Nicolas, 50 years old, not a developer but a technology addict, I admit it!
My passion: testing everything that comes out, understanding new technologies and, of course, currently trying to understand how AI can simplify our lives.
Hey Folks, I'm a Systems Architect involved in Collaborative and Agentic AI. The 2 are extremely linked for me, and I believe likely a far better way to use AI than the current tool like use of AI where people prompt 'write me a snake game' and the like. I'm working on projects that allow the AI to measure its own epistemic uncertainty (knowing what it doesn't know) and this way being transparent and honest about where it gets its facts from and why it answers the way it does. This is desperately needed for people who want to use AI but understandably, don't trust these systems. Check out the subreddit r/ai_self_aware for more information and help in how to set this up, particularly in cli environments, though there are plenty of ways to do this in chatbots too.
Hey folks! 👋 I’m Saif.
I’m here to teach what I know and learn what I don’t. I came across DEV Community through a friend (he’s a dev too), and I thought it’d be a great place to connect, share, and grow together.
A fun fact about me: I love experimenting with new tech stacks and often challenge myself to build complete apps within tight timelines.

Hi everyone, I’m Boris 👋 I recently joined this community to learn, share, and connect with other developers. I mainly work with Rust and backend projects, but I’m always curious about new tools and practices. Excited to collaborate and grow with you all!
Welcome to DEV, everybody!!!
I found this site because of chatGPT. Was looking for a type of social media for Coders and programmers. I am happy here and just got the change today to really explore it. I hope to make some new friends and meet like-minded people!
I got into Coding this past June and I fell in love. I was doing bug testing with test io and was looking to becoming a better tester and was told to learn more about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After going on freeCodeCamp.org, I've never looked back. I fell in love. Now I am dabbling in a bit of everything and learning or getting acquainted with everything! Swift, typescript, sql, java, C#, and Rust.
I am battling with with learning, it seems to be all I want to do, but duties in life calls. I am excited for my future career and can't wait for the time I am creating things and start my new career!
Yo, I’m @descambiado👽
I hack together scripts, tools, and ideas at the crossroads of cybersecurity and digital culture. Creator of BOFA Suite (150+ scripts for automation) and founder of SotyHUB, a DAO-style forum for ethical hackers and curious minds.
ROLF fact: I’ve been exploring tech since I was 10 and I still get the same rush when something finally works.
Hello everyone, I'm Muizz and I'm here to learn more about software designing. I've learnt html and css so far and honestly! JavaScript is causing headaches but I know it'll be worth it when I finally understand it. I hope you are all doing well. and it nice to be one of you all . Thank y'all
Hi Everyone,
I am Anup. I have over 12 years of SWE experience working at Google, AWS, Nvidia and Rubrik. I am building justcopy.ai - AI agents for software development. Best way is to build something for developers is to be part of the developers community. I am big fan of next/react in frontend, tailwind for css and node/express for backend. Most of free time, I just experiment and recently experimented around multi ai agents and I decided to build something I am more familiar with. I built AI agents, provides tools to spin up and manage a sandbox, write, edit, delete files and run some bash commands. Result has been surprising. thats what is justcopy.ai - highly opinionated AI agents for end to end web app development. I also plan to build customize agents so that developers can customize however they want to build and whatever tech stack they want to use.
Exited to be part of this community!

Hello, New World!
This is a message from me now to me in the future.
We're just starting out; programming can be tiring at times. But it's super fun to learn formulas and see something small become big, functional, and evolve. Today, I'm just a student; this is my first step.
To everyone reading this, I hope to learn many things from you and help those coming after me. Thank you so much, thank you so much for guiding me on this journey to this New World.
So, Hello World!
